Well for me usability includes reasonable contrasts so you can
distinguish the bar/train in the scrollbar from the scroll-track/rail.
If it looks like a soup with poor contrast, then its difficult to

It looks like it is a crash generated by the graphic card (geforce 8400 MGS) in
use with the 3D effects.
My computer freezed (couldn't move the mouse or shortcuts anymore). So I
interupted power supply
Actually this was the second time the computer crashes.
The first time was when I came out of the sleep modus (when I close my
laptop).
I set off the 3d desktop effects and later I set back the nvidia control
pannel but the bug is persistant. After a while using my computer the
mouse freezes and

There is a regression in Karmic Alpha 3.
We are now back to Intrepid's behavior :
Both monitor are in clone mode, the resolution on both monitor is the same. But
the problem is that the resolution used (1024x768) is not preferred one of any
monitor (one is 1280x800, this other 1920x1200).

Good news for laptops with a Realtek ALC268 codec and an internal digital mic
(like Acer TravelMate 6292) : Now it works in Karmic (thanks to Alsa 1.0.20).
But you need to modify You need to replace the following line in
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base:
options snd-hda-intel power_save=10
with:
option
Same behavior under Karmic alpha 3.

So using the workaround (adding UseFBDev in xorg conf), wine works
again.

Please upgrade the package before Edgy goes out since it causes real
regressions from Dapper to Matrox card users.

It doesn't seems to be bug 42169 :
- Wine doesn't crash
- Wine doesn't print any error message related to sound. Wine only prints :
$ winecfg
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b
- I tried the workarounds of bug report 42169 : No effect

I have found something !
I created another user on my main machine : Wine works when I am logged under
that username account.
So the problem is somewhere in my home folder...
I will try to find what it is exactly.
I will keep you posted about what I found.
