working neither the touchpad neither the keyboard.
I've noticed that acpi doesn't come up right so I did (thanks to
copy&paste&dasher) a

sorry for another entry but I forgot to mention my test about booting with
different parameter of i8042 as suggested by Kashif Sheikh in a precedent entry
in this bug.
I've tried booting with:
i8042.noaux
i8042.reset
i8042.noacpi
It didn't worked in every case but there are little difference
I've just tried to test this card under Gutsy.
It still doesn't work.

Hi,
I did try on Ubuntu 6.06 with 250Gb disks and I got the same result. Error on
LBA48. Tried again on 7.10 and the same.
Nothing works.
Right now I'm installing Feisty 7.04.
Tried to compile Sunix driver (the one from the card manufacter) for
kernel 2.6.15 (so Ubuntu 6.06) and It did compile,
Ok,
it did recognize the drives and the controller but it just didn't format
correctly my partition on the sata drive. it just stood at 0% for hours (!!)
and then I did reboot. (it did write correctly the partition table).
I should say that this controller is pretty weird ;-)

+1 for eGW 1.4 in Hardy!
Moreover Hardy is a LTS release and eGW will be likely used in server
(which preferentially go with LTS releases!)!

on Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft suspend and hibernate WORKS perfectly!!!

on Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn till today (25 March 2007 on

600 and 1500 Mhz without any step in the middle. (like 800Mhz, 1,200 Ghz...)
In Ubuntu Edgy it worked out of the box.

installed.
Now the wireless card CAN connect to a network and stay connected for a few
hours (sometimes) with both kernels BUT the transmission speed is very low (few

Performance is related to the access point.
With some access point the laptop would not even connect, with other it will
connect but not in a stable way, while with others it

With standard installation of Ubuntu 14.04.1 the ethernet card is NOT working.
Nevertheless I did try 3.16.7-031607-generic and 3.18
I performed a few preliminary test with both kernels and the wireless seems
working with only G networks.
I had to disable the N part on the routers.
