Hi, I'm really sorry to not have posted it sooner... on Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft suspend and hibernate WORKS perfectly!!! so you can close the bug there.
on Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn till today (25 March 2007 on 2.6.20-12-generic) suspend and hibernate WORKS perfectly . Thanks to all.
