It just won't install and keeps saying problems with dependencies. the
dependencies appear to be other packages it is already trying to install. It
has actually done this with all the images I have tried to install since about
2.6.2

I am running an almost vanilla distribution of Ubuntu, with only a few
apps even installed. I have two PPAs - xorg-edgers and libreoffice - in
use, because I needed a newer nvidia driver for this gpu. I have done

Just for the record, this affected me in 11.04 as well, but I couldn't find any
fix for it at all. In fact, it would regularly hang my system so I had to
remove it.
Ubuntu One was reinstalled during the upgrade (which I only just did) and it
still gives exactly the same error:
File Sync error.
