As I said it doesn't happen only on my laptop system. I have the same problem
with two amd64 PCs and the vanilla kernel too.
By the way the Edgy generic kernel couldn't scale cpu at all on my Sony TX2
with ULV CPU but it is no problem since the 386 can do this instead.

On my laptop and amd64 system USB transfers to extern hard disk has nearly 100%
CPU system usage according to htop. You can easily test it with encrypted
partitions too.
In htop the system/kernel usage is shown through the red bar and the user usage
through the green one.

Why not ship the graphical pppoe configurator with the live cd? That one that
Knoppix brings with it? It is very hard for a newbie without internet to find

I thought at first time that suspend doesn't work too. Going to suspend works
fine and is fast but after resume it seems to hang. This is not exactly true
since after around 40 seconds there appears a mouse and after another bound of
seconds the pass
I have tested it now on localhost and it works. I don't know if it has
fixed or has only something to do with amd64 architecture. I haven't an
amd64 system anymore so I can't check it.

I only have this problem with Kopete 3.5.6 in Edgy. After downgrading to
standard Kopete 3.5.5 the problem disappears again. The password isn't asked
for gpg-agent with 3.5.6.
The weird thing is that even the sent log messages are encrypted in 3.5.6 so
they are unreadable.

But after changing for testing purposes to 1024x768 the "keep resolution
window" starts but the resolution doesn't changed. After an X restart through
ctrl + alt + backspace X starts with 1024x768 which is correct

The version in Feisty has some huge audio sync bugs while editing video
files. This seems to be solved in 2.3.0. Since I was able to compile
2.3.0 under Edgy without compiling additional stuff it shouldn't be a
huge problem.
