Ubuntu is the only distro that I know that puts the hotplugged sound device as

In edgy only the left alt-shift changes the language.
I use hebrew - english layout. In previous versions of ubuntu, the relevant
xorg.conf lines would be:
Option "XkbLayout" "us,il"
Option "XkbOptions""grp:a
maybe now towards firefox 2.0 someone that knows a firefox developer
could ask him to implement.
This bug is valid for firefox, mozilla, thunderbird and NVU (built using
a lot of mozilla code)

I changed the menu.lst file accordingly and ran into issues.
1. my choice for next boot went unnoticed and it was only after the SECOND time
I booted that grub chose the correct option.
2. grub kept on trying to boot the same operating system instead of the default
at the 3rd, 4th, 5th... boot a
on the first picture (main window) notice the scroll bar to the right is
disfigured. also notice the bottom of that window. I left it as it is.
it's not edited.
no composition was enabled so it's not related to the issue discussed in
the FAQ.
