Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
Given that universe and multiverse are enabled by default in Feisty
(thanks to Jordan for pointing this out), our documentation in add-
applications.xml is out of date. We should probably update this and
discuss a string freeze exception.
**
Does anyone in the team have any thoughts on this? any objections to
making an exception?

Tollef - this bug isn't only about static devices. If as your changelog
suggests, this won't fix the problem with the interfaces considered as
auto dhcp in /etc/network/interfaces, I suspect we should reopen this
bug.

Given that kubuntu-docs is in main, surely a core developer should be
reviewing your uploads?
Did that not happen in this case?

No, the System Tools menu is deprecated in Ubuntu, so it can't be the
closest fit! Any applications which install a menu entry in this
category have similar bugs to this one.
