I've got this with a Logitech Quickcam Chat - all I get is a black
screen in both Cheese and Camstream. The solution given in Nobbit's post
doesn't work for me. Although the module seems to be loaded, I get
"Module gspca not found".
I do notice that when I boot, the light on the camera comes on. B
Andres, this bug doesn't seem to exist in Intrepid (the webcam doesn't
work, but that's another problem!).
I haven't tried in Jaunty yet.

For me, this seems to be related to the hardware of the mouse - if the
cable catches on something, or is in certain positions, although I've
tried several mice. Some days it's much worse than others.

I'm getting this error with a Canon IP3000, Ubuntu 7/04, using the
Turboprint driver. I've had no problems until now, using it for about
four months.

I've followed Joel Parkers instructions in Feisty. However the menus don't show
OO. If I double-click an .odt file, it opens in Archive Manager. If I
double-click a .doc file, it opens the "add/remove apps" dialogue. It
recommends OO, and displays the version that I've just installed:

I've installed yesterdays OO updates, hoping this bug would be included,
but the problem is still there on Feisty. I'd also like to ask Bob
Klines question - what does "fix released" mean?

I've had random system freezes since an update on 24 January. I've done one
other update since then.
I have Compiz running, an Nvidia GeForce4 MX440, no problems till that update.
My dpkg.log for that period:

Here's one I'm having this problem with. I downloaded the original some
while back under Feisty - no problems with it, and I have a printed copy
that's OK. Now it only displays part of page 2, and the page numbering
is something like page 127 of 4. :)
I've downloaded it again to make sure it's not
Forgot to say that I've checked some of my other PDF files - only those
created with Adobe InDesign CS seem to have a problem. Those created
with other software including OO display correctly.

Evo is crashing several times a week, each time with a different
message. Often I'm on another desk, so all I see is the "evolution has
closed" box and the apport reporting box. When I am actually using evo
during a crash, I can usually tell it's about to happen as it responds
extremely slowly - as
I'm using Firefox 3.6.8 (Firefox for Ubuntu 1.0) - I did a clean install
of 10.04 so it's the release that is included, with all updates since
the install in April.
