One further note: I tested this with a USB keyboard, a HP LaserJet 1300 printer, and a Logitech camera (I forget the model). The keyboard and the printer behaved exactly the same. When the camera was plugged in it actually failed to suspend. I haven't tested the camera in the laptop's own ports
