Yes, you have to change something the second time. For instance, going to properties, erasing the IP address and typing it in again doesn't do it. As for the checkbox. I do steps 1, 2, and 3 as in the initial report. Then I launch network-admin, uncheck the box, and recheck the box. Now the int

I think the following line from your syslog: Nov 10 22:55:28 main-menu[358]: (process:1330): FATAL: Module loop not found. means that your iso, though found, was never mounted. The kernel module "loop" is required to do this mount. Why it can't find this kernel module is a complete mystery to me
