My microphone doesn't work at all on Acer 2930 using Ubuntu 8.10 and
Live CD of 9.04 RC1. I start applications like Audacity and Gnome-Sound
Recorder but there is no visual of microphone audio bar moving and no
sound being recorded.
Also, if I plug-in my headphones the sound
I'm also having this problem on Acer 2930 and tested also on the live CD
of Ubuntu 9.04 RC1 getting the same results.

On fully update/upgraded Gutsy i get a bad screen (1280x1024) wrong rendering
area:
i have an lower orizontal and right vertical no rendered space i try to show
it on a captured screen.
It appened with or without compiz enabled.
2) when i disable fom menu appearance -> visu

I had the same error but the message was:
Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-cYnvim2lVR: Connection refused
I use:
AMD Athlon 64x2 3800+
1GB RAM
motherboard ASUS A8R-MP
Video: ATI radeon X300 256MB PCIE (opensource driver)
