Public bug reported: My microphone doesn't work at all on Acer 2930 using Ubuntu 8.10 and Live CD of 9.04 RC1. I start applications like Audacity and Gnome-Sound Recorder but there is no visual of microphone audio bar moving and no sound being recorded.
Also, if I plug-in my headphones the sound still goes through the normal laptop speakers. Expected results are to have sound only through headphones when it is plugged-in.
