I have installed Xubuntu 7.10 but my DPI setting is 83 or something and
that's why all the fonts are really small. On Xubuntu 7.06 and before,
there are no problems.

I don't remember if it was set to by default but I tried it with
1024*768 resolution. It is an 17", Samsung SyncMaster 793s.

I downgraded to Xubuntu 7.06 so I can`t test it with native installation
but I just tested it again with Live CD and see that I cannot change the
resolution. It is always 1024*768. When I change it, it says me
something like `The resolution changed, do you want to keep this
setting` but actually it
After I changed my power supply, mainboard and RAMs the problem has been
solved. So, it is either related with power supply, mainboard or RAMs, I
don't know which one.

Hello, I'm experiencing the same issue. After the message I rebooted but
I am not sure the driver is in use. Desktop effects are partly working
(there is no transparency on borders for example), the boot screen looks
ugly (it was ok before I attempted to install the driver), when I go to

Okay, now I can see the transparency (I didn't know that it is on
unfocused windows, sorry). But the others still apply.
