Since upgrading from Intrepid to Jaunty I am unable to download photos
off my Canon Powershot A510.
On plugging the camera in, it is recognised. If I choose to open it with F-Spot
I get a dialog asking me to select the camera from this list:

running Jaunty amd64 but it *does* work with my Acer Aspire One running

Micke, what you describe has nothing to do with the original bug report
... which was an issue with the verbosity of the logs. But I can
suggest some actions you can take.
1. Please downgrade temporarily to 8.04 if possible to verify for sure
that it is the transition from 8.04 to 8.10 that caus
apt-p2p is a daemon, and is already running, started automatically on
boot from /etc/init.d/. The reason you can't start one yourself
successfully is that the one you are starting is trying to use the same
port as the already running one, which causes it to fail. Check out the
man page for apt-p2p
If that generates an error (it should), let me know what it says and
then try this command:
python -c 'import wxversion ; print wxversion.getInstalled()'
You can then reinstall python-wxgtk2.8 and try the commands again to
see what the difference is.

I too am affected by this bug, on intrepid. My internal windows (NTFS)

It is a real pain that wireless networking stops when I switch users.

need to be a brainstorm idea. This, however, should be marked as
"Wishlist" importance as it is not necessarily a bug, but a request for
something that would make the program better. You can always use
"alt-f2" to run these programs. Most people prefer to add applications
to the menu by themselves

ccms wasn't installed, so I installed that first.
The Commands plugin wasn't enabled, so I enabled that.
That fixed my issue.
I agree that the Commands plugin should be installed by default.
