Issue also affecting me. Notebooks do not open and instead freeze keepnote, this is happening on all 3 computers I have with 13.10 x64 Installed, and did not happen on my 12.04 install.
Here is the output when running through terminal: http://pastebin.com/c3C1cuyr It freezes on the last line and the window greys out, Ctrl C on the terminal does not respond and the program does not run after 1 hour of waiting (Lenovo Thinkpad X201 i5 520M, 8GB, 250GB SSD).
