Regarding apport, the problem was a missing python package: python-
launchpadlib. I have run into another problem with apport: "TypeError:
'unicode' does not have the buffer interface". I will try and submit

lightdm starts the backlight switches off. Current version of lightdm is

Using the xbacklight tool the actual values for 0-100% is actually 0%,
20%, 60% & 100%. It seems the current value of the backlight is not
being stored when shutting down and on reboot has a value of 0%.

Problem still persists and seems to be isolated to the startup of the
application. After the third attempt of "Open with Brasero Disc Burner"
from the context menu the application runs perfectly.
I have installed the debugging symbols for brasero and will provide a
backtrace when the error occurs
I'm not sure if I can reproduce this error, but I did the following that
caused it to crash:
- Logged in
- Launched HeidiSQL (WINE)
- I had no network connection, so I clicked on network manager (16:49:26) and
selected my default connection while HeidiSQL was loading.

I enabled the "Screenshot" feature under extras in CompizConfig Settings
Manager with the default settings (no directory and no launch
application blank).
I have taken numerous screenshots and I have tried disabling an enabling

I would also like to add that this bug was not present on the current
version of compiz in Ubuntu 10.10. I upgraded to 11.04 two days ago.

The problem lies with the Ubuntu Unity Plugin. When disabled it works
perfectly.

again is by switching to a terminal, logging in a killing the process of
gnome-screensaver. In some cases there are two pid's for gnome-
screensaver.
Perhaps gnome-screensaver should ensure that its process is terminated
