I will test this behaviour when I am at this computer again. On my Dell
XPS M1330 Me-TV works fine with my USB DVB-T Stick. On the other
computer where I have this problem Me-TV never worked and failed always
with the same error.
Kaffeine is faster than 5 seconds
I started me-tv with the command "me-tv --read-timeout 30" and the error
still occurs. The time from starting me-tv to the appearance of the
error-message could be about 30 seconds.

I tested the bzr-version and the size for A4 is still wrong.
hostname:~$ ./simple-scan --version
simple-scan 1.0.0

I think this is the important part of the debug log file:

synchronisation works fine now. I tested to synchronize of my specific
file two times in different folders.
