There is still a bug here (at least on Jaunty), you cannot purge this
package if there is nothing in /etc/isdn or if /etc/isdn doesn't exist
before purging...

This is not solved in precise. I had this problem in 11.10, installed
12.04 from scratch and the problem did not appear at first. But today I
notice this exact problem on both my laptop and my desktop.
I can still use right-click menu not only to close the app, but also to
"install all updates". T
I confirm that the oneiric .deb works on precise, will we have a version
for precise ? will noip2 work for future release or I should consider
another way for dynamic DNS on ubuntu???

I tryied closing and re-opening network manager and then it shows in
gdbus, see attached.
By the way, I am not sure this is related but the right click menu now
appears BEHIND any other window, I still can use it but I have to move
all other windows out of the way. This is not only true when updat
@Marco: yes, when I ran first command, Network Manager is in the unity
panel, it can't be left-clicked but right click works, I can close it
this way. I don't have to log in as another user though, closing it and
re-opening it solves the problem.

I opened bug #1003950, but not much activity so far. I think the bug was
realy solved in a previous release, but then reappeared in newer

version 0.7.3 (natty's repos) on ubuntu 11.10 and it works too. Can't

related. I tried to install fglrx-updates from synaptics and it works

I removed Jupiter and Drobox and removed the broadcom driver, but the
problem still occures. I also removed indicator-weather since it crashes
after a suspend (probably related). The crash still occures anyway, here
is the new dmesg.

I tried your workaround and it worked for me, without the problem of
"breaking user interface" ... I edited /etc/default/grub, I modified
this variable
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nomodeset"
as you suggested. This gives this line in /boot/grub/grub.cfg after a
"sudo update-grub" :
linux /boot/vmlinuz-
Nope, dconf-editor does not event start atm. I don't have a testing box,
so I only upgraded dconf-editor to the unstable version, so this might
be a dependency problem.

I have the same problem here. A work-around is to add "unity" to the

I updated from ubuntu 10.10 and remove manualy almost all configuration
and applications-specific files in my home folder. Then I configured a
fiew things within Unity (gpointer, menus and file assoc) and the crash
appeared the next reboot.
