fast using P2D, P3D or OPENGL (when adding one of those as a third

Once firefox crashed for one reason or another one can't start new
instance anymore because there is still a firefox-bin process running,
which causes firefox to suggest "close all instances or restart the
system".
I can "killall firefox-
gstreamer fails to produce working mp4/aac files with all default
settings:

but sounds OK when:

I have this slow-lyx problem too, and I've noticed that scrolling in a
terminal (e.g. when using less) is smooth when i use not-antialised
font, but annoyingly slow when antialiased. could these two problems be
related?

to experience the problem I'm gonna attach a minimal test case that
wraps std::map then greps for '$1.' in generated C++. (just
unpack and run make in ./swig/ directory)

tree.

For the record: this dialog only happens to me when using alternative
window managers or xfce; metacity, when application doesn't responde to
close request, offers to kill the it and does actually kill firefox "to
death" - starting another instace directly after works.

I am experiencing this.
I have switch to a console with Ctrl+Alt+F1 and execute unity --replace
after installing anything through software center. Icons of newly
installed applications don't appear in the launcher, I guess something
goes wrong there. I'd be glad to restore to defaults like Matthew
Update for the sake of people experiencing the same: I made the problem
go away with `rm -rf ~/.compiz`.
