I am getting this error randomly every once in a while. It's locking my
PC completely but it's not stopping Spotify playing. Machine can not be
restarted in any way even trough SSH session (SSH still works).
I am having the same problem on updated Ubunut Mate 16.10 in Guake
Terminal and Mate Terminal. The error is showing after hitting tab after

protector should "fix" that. Unfortunately the vncviewer build system is
rather unusual. Let me know if you have any success with compilation.

I agree that all these 3 bugs look like the same issue. This is actually
very common error in GTK, I've just checked that gimp 2.6.11 from Ubuntu
11.04 is affected as well.

Thanks for the confirmation and details Marcel. I had discovered that
unzip had the problem, and figured that file-roller was just using unzip
or a common library.
I did install p7zip-full as a workaround using the command line version.

I can duplicate it. I had istanbul installed once on dapper, uninstaled it and
installed it once again on edgy. Then it wouldn't start with the mentioned
error. Removing /usr/lib/python.2.4/site-packages/istanbul fixes it.
I guess that just deleting this directory in postinst will be fine.

when I print n-pages, I get n blank pages.

Version 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu2 didn't build on many archs (sparc and powerc)
either so reopening. Buggy udev was the reason then and it has been
since fixed, so a simple rebuild should do.

As I said this happens mainly under Beryl. With beryl disabled, which I did
today, it crashed only once. I'm on KDE, so I can't really say what GTK

manner. Debian bug #428190 seems to be relevant. I am now building mono
1.2.5-2 from Debian Sid (in a clean cowbuilder environment) and will
