I have a Toshiba Satellite A105 S4094 with the Intel 945 Express Video
Chipset. I tried to install the final release of Kubuntu 8.04 and i got
the problem of the very big text.
I used the command "apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-intel" posted
above which fixed the problem.

I have 2 computers and only 1 printer (HP laserjet 1022) conected to one of the
computers via USB port.
I used to have ubuntu 8.04 Hardy on both computers and could print from the
computer that is not conected to the priter using LAN.
Now I upgrade
I also see this problem, for some reason after a while xvidcap did stop working.
The problem is hard reproducable, I simply start xvidcap press record and the
GUI disapears. The command line shows the following output:

I also happens just on launching it, with an external disk attached wit

same problem here, after installing with no problems, then re start the

install VirtualBox some time ago; but they've changed it. The correct
actual line is on the Linux_Downloads section of the VirtualBox website.
