I would argue that this is a separate bug . Bug #525642 deals with the
missing service file, which, had it existed, would only have solved
parts of the problem. For example, ssh-agent functionality does not work
if the daemon is started by dbus since it relies on setting environment

Debugging this one proved to be pretty tricky. GDB has a nasty habit of
loosing control over the debuggee (bug #563361). I've managed to find
out that setuid is called from nptl/allocatestack.c:__nptl_setxid in

Seems like I can only reproduce this bug on my upgraded (Jaunty->Karmic)

I don't like to speculate, but what I believe may have happened is that
the screen saver (OpenGL based) started at some point after the xorg-
driver-fglrx package was unpacked (and libGL replaced) causing some
communication "disagreement" between the GL library
It did, which isn't so strange since the problem really is that f-spot
can't update the database, creating a new one isn't a problem. IIRC
that's what I did and retagged all the photos.
