I just stumbled over this problem in jaunty and I think this is a bigger

is way harder for a user to connect to another Ubuntu machine than it is
to connect to a Windows machine.

Unfortunately the bug seems to be quite hard to reproduce. I just

I have the same problem with 10.04 Beta on the N150.
A workaround is to create a file called brightness.sh somewhere with
this content:
#!/bin/sh
sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=$1
Then just execute: chmod a+x brightness.sh
After that you can execute brightness.sh with a hex number between 0

Did you install the rubyripper-gui package, too? Looks like you only

There is no need for a 64-bit build since the packages rubyripper and

platform neutral packages to show them as part of the i386 build.
So you can just try

Hi Chuck,
/etc/timezone is no longer being copied (greped for it in
MBuilder/plugins/ubuntu). So this specific problem should be gone
although there still seem be similar problems where possible error
conditions of file copies aren't handled very gracefully.

This is no substitute for a real package but as a workaround you can
just:
cd /usr/lib
sudo rm libbfd-2.19.1.so
sudo ln -s libbfd-2.19.91.20091006.so libbfd-2.19.1.so
libbfd-2.19.1.so is just a link to the real shared object which broke
since the real one was renamed.
