rhythmbox uses gdk_disable_multidevice () to workaround maybe a weird
behaviour in their app with XI2. I'll try to see if I can handle these

add the lines to not draw outer stroke and inner stroke.
There are cases where border-width is 0 but you still want a shadow or an inner

in ubuntu indeed.
Try running the test app with LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBA=0 ./scroll to see if it
happens with native scrollbars
