No, unfortunately it can't be quietened down. The messages are due to
the way the BUG and WARN macros in the kernel are defined. And they
serve a useful function in that they allow kerneloops.org to track what
messages/oops/warnings are being triggered most and what is the
callpath.

I just tried firing up "Update Manager" and it mysteriously went and
fetched 55 updates. After the updates were complete, the "Language
Support" tool now properly shows *all* the languages and when I pick

@Ryan - I reverted the patch a while ago since it causes oops on dual
core systems (bug #129226). Please read comments above.
@Whisky - -rt kernels are unsupported. Please contact the developer:
Alessio Igor Bogani. That said, if Ryan sends a fixed patch that is
applied to Gutsy, then -rt will get
Upload is postponed till tomorrow (4.10.07) to get in all possible bug
