I often get a seemingly similar crash in syndaemon during shutdown on an
up-to-date jaunty install (amd64). I only notice this because apport
pops up with a crash report the next time I boot. Is this related or
should I let apport file a new bug?

Apport report a SIGSEV in syndaemon (it actually crashed an hour ago
just during shutdown). Complete report was 44.5 KiB, reduced report
458.1 KiB (see screenshot). Submitting the report failed because I

Here's a fresh dmesg, more information like lspci output is in the
initial bug report. I am in the Netherlands (ETSI region), both AP's I
tested were sold here (I can select a country on the WNHDE111, this is
set to NL, too), and set to automatically choose a free channel. Both
AP's are discovered
I can confirm that this patch works. Mythfrontend now works for me on a
R500 with the radeon driver (DRI enabled) and mesa from Mario's PPA.

The patch fixes usplash support with uswsusp for me, but I also get the
hang at 100%. The hang occurs at suspend.c:restore_console(), in the
VT_WAITACTIVE ioctl. It never returns, possibly because it's locked by

Just encountered this bug on a desktop system. After the 0.6.3-11 update, the
boot process hung, preventing background daemons like SSH from starting. The
contents of /etc/network/interfaces was:

Does work properly with aptitude. Did update-manager start using a
different profile? In that case, the default configuration might have to
be updated, and this change should be documented somewhere (unless it
already is and I just missed it).
