Confirmed here. Beryl works great with packages from Beryl repos but
there is no beryl-xgl with these packages. I can have universe enabled
because I'm afraid I'll accidentally update. Please fix this, this is a
major bug for anyone with a recent ATI card.

It is a laptop keyboard, I believe it's an internal PS/2 (HP pavillion
dv5139us). I tried plugging in a USB keyboard but it didn't matter,
nothing changed. SSH into the system works.

If I leave my laptop on with the lid closed for 2+ hours my cpu
overheats dramatically. This only happens when the lid is closed so I
suspect something with acpi is causing it. If I leave the lid open the
processor scales itself and my laptop runs re
lsusb produces no output and dmesg has nothing related to mouse events
or usb. I can't see any relevant output in dmesg.
Also, I purchased a new video card [from ATI X300 to nVidia 7600GT] and
this is no longer a problem. Now I have no net, but I will fix that
since i can use the mouse.

This isn't in partman but in ubiquity itself, the bug is in the bar code
which figures out the size and then feeds it to partman to do the actual

Some applications launch non-maximized but at the size of the desktop
minus the panel. This just gives the double title bar effect, and looks
kind of ugly. Applications launched at this size should just go whole
hog and be maximized.

If a dialog appears while mid-drag, the icon being dragged will appear behind
the launcher. I would make a short video but I am almost out disk space. This
can be easily reproduced by running
$ sleep 5; zenity --info --text="See what I mean, Vern?"

This is because Banshee (and I'm assuming Totem as well) use the
GStreamer Volume property. It doesn't use pulse directly. This may
really be a bug in GStreamer or PulseAudio.
