I have "fixed" this. The sound in question can be turned off under Login
Window Preferences > Accessibility > Sounds > Login Screen Ready.
I realise now that this is because these sounds are system-wide and not
a user preference. This is *not*, however, an intuitive place to find

We have a few joysticks here and, for some reason, they are not
calibrated correctly. In Windows I am able to make these usable by using
the calibration tool in Game Controllers.
There does not seem to be a comparable tool in Ubuntu which renders

reason *supporting* adding this code. If things are interactive then the
machine will not suspend. It is when the machine is doing something but
is not actively being interacted with by the user that we need to

I just came on to report the lack of a .desktop, but it seems it has
been done. Here is an alternative logo to use if you prefer - I just
whacked together a couple of the images from the game. It may be too
detailed as a small icon, but may be better than what we have.

Here is the attached .conf file.
Now my touchpad and associated buttons do not work at all. Thankfully,

The touchpad itself works, but tracing the finger from one side of the
pad to the other moves the cursor about 1cm and vertical scroll doesn't

I had another go at this with a fully updated Dapper. Again I found that
it prevented X from starting up with an error that no screens were found
(or screens were found but none at the correct resolution).

I would love to see support in Psi for the SILC protocol. Silc was
designed to be secure from the ground up, as opposed to trying to bend
email/file encyption until it appears to work over traditional IM
protocols.

just upgraded to Edgy and it no longer works.
If I suspend to RAM, it suspends as expected. When I try to resume, the
lights turn on as normal, but the display doesn't wake up and nothing
else happens.

about it and that was moved to 915resolution. 915resolution fixes it (it
was updated - Bug #54188) but it still doesn't work out of the box.
The comments in those bugs clearly suggest that people think the
"modesetting branch"

I have this issue on a fully updated edgy firefox. To confirm, if I
manually open firefox and go to the site, everything works (including
https://) until I close it.
If I follow a link to any site (including normal http:) from
Thunderbird, no https:// links work for the session.

+1 here. Using updated Edgy Knot 3. I too can run it with --sync.
