Rupert, I got the built-in amd driver back working. I found someone who explained that the amd's uninstaller may not remove the blacklist. use ls -l /etc/modprobe.d/ to see if it lists the file blacklist-amdgpu.conf If it does, you need to remove that file. I just used this command to move the
