@Serge - The host and guest are both kubuntu precise and both up-to-date - the errors differs I guess based on the resolution I chose. Choosing 1366x768 generated those errors. - Because the log file contains errors like: Out of video memory: Could not allocate 254340 bytes I also tried -global qx
