automatic and does not use static values in /etc/X11/xorg.conf . Since

I also confirm this on Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop with ATI mobility
radeon X300. Screen and Graphics does not show anything, but the real X
resolution is 1440x900. /etc/usplash.conf contains 640x480 so usplash
works but is also rough/coarse/grainy
Also numerous comments in other bug reports confirm
Colin Watson : Numerous comments in different bug reports says that
usplash often get 640x480 resolution in Hardy. My own laptop which is
always in 1440x900 resolution with Xorg did have a /etc/usplash.conf of
640x480 in Hardy Alpha 4. I suggest that we take a look at this before
the final release.
I think that I understand the point. I can reproduce that little *bug*
on any computers. The first 20 seconds of the boot process, the usplash
will show something like 5%, and then suddenly, it will go to 60%, and
then 100% in the next 30 seconds. Since this is a wish, I set the
Importance to Wishl

mounted by cryptsetup during the init.d boot sequence, so it's displayed

Bert Van de Poel : If you have a nvidia 8xxx card and don't see usplash,
this is bug 147623
The bug did speak about the ubuntu LiveCD usplash which had a bad
resolution and not in the center of the screen. Is that exactly the
problems that you can reproduce? Thanks for your fast answer.

This bug happens on a Dell inspiron 9300 laptop at boot with ubuntu
Hardy Alpha 4, linux-image-2.6.24-7-generic (i386).
At boot, I get a 10 seconds with usplash bar going left to right and
right to left, freezing. When I start the computer without usplash, I
saw that the boot

bug 147623 as already a lot of relevant information so I think that all
you need to do is wait. Thanks for the confirmation.

"decentralized" usplash at boot and a low resolution. bug 147623 is
about completely absent splash screen on ubuntu 64 bit with a nvidia
geforce 8xxx card. In your case, you used a i386 CD so it's sure that
this is not this bug. Also, this

0.3.3-2ubuntu6.1 or higher? Or it was really a older version? Actual
Gutsy Gparted release is 0.3.3-2ubuntu6.1. There's already a wishlist
bug for the new gparted version : bug 190552

using gnucash within ubuntu my balance column only shows the 3 digits to the
left of the decimal
Thanks for this bug report. I can confirm this problem which seem to be
caused by a new flash version in the adobe website. Since it doesn't
seems to install on any computer, I set the importance to High and
Status to Confirmed
