I installed the kernel package pointed by Tim Gardner

I attach a debdiff that fixes this issue. This debdiff only add a simple
patch already pushed upstream in bug 516491 by revision 8911. It has
been tested by my (I have a saved file that cause the game to crash) and
the game succesfully print a error message on terminal and ignore the
bad saved file
I also attach an example file that cause gnome-sudoku to crash. You only
need to put this file in ~/.sudoku/saved to reproduce the crash.

According to your screenshot, you don't seem to use "Try ubuntu without
making any changes to your computer", but "Install ubuntu". Can you try
to boot "Tr

able to boot into graphical mode? What did remove the "initramfs" bug,
new intrepid alpha 5 release, or the removal of the DVD drive? Thanks

The bug is not yet fixed in gedit, but there's been serious improvement
in intrepid. If you try to shutdown intrepid using the fast user
switcher applet, you now always get a window telling you when a program
is blocking logout. You have the choice to lock the screen, cancel
logout request, or logo

Mmh, perhaps can you try it from the console (without graphical
environment?) . When you are in the graphical environment, you can go to
the console by typing CTRL + ALT + F6 . From that point, you can maybe
try this :
1. Plug your USB key
2. ls /dev/sd*
3. sudo mkdir /media/USB
4. sudo mount -t v
I tested the patch and I confirm that I was not able to reproduce the
bug.
