Scott James Remnant : If you look at 45-libmtp8.rules, you'll see that this file only contains identical rules for mobile devices such as Samsung YP-S3. I thought that these rules were necessary as they seems to tell the computer to use libmtp for these specific devices. Even My Creative Zen is a part of that list.
However I found today that I'm able to use the samsung with rhythmbox without that rule enabled, so I might be wrong. You probably know it better than I.
