Thanks, yes, installing only Octave works. The problem is with some
packages. "sudo apt-get install octave" works, but "sudo apt-get install
octave*" tries to install all packages and it fails to install some of

When the path starts with a tilde (~) tab completion doesn't propose
files. It works fine with bash 4.2 and is a regression in 4.3.
TEST CASE:
1. Open a terminal and type:
$ cat ~/.b
ACTUAL RESULT:
Only directories are proposed. Completion works fine with an absolute or
rel
