I basically have the same problem. After upgrading from 12.04 to 12.10
the fan of my laptop is running nearly always. In 12.04 the fan wasn't
running most time. CPU temperature is fine:

in the commandline for booting, i didnt include the abotimg binary in the
initrd, so the update fails. fix is in the works ...

This bug persists in 12.04 LTS running Unity 2D on a MacBook Pro 5,2. It
is not a consistent bug, however. For me, this bug appeared after I did
a clean install (for completely unrelated X server reasons). My first
12.04 install was fine -- no HUD issues whatsoever.

Alex, yes, I've installed all *.deb from build-area.
I'm attaching a python spam script that I modified from the examples
network-manager comes with that can reproduce the issue for me in ~1
minute by repeatedly adding and deleting a connection via dbus. I see
the bug appear after about 500 itera

I have the same issue.
My machine is not a laptop but uses mobile CPU.
With Precise, VGA works but DVI and HDMI do not work.
I know the machine worked just fine with Lucid.
So, I downgraded xorg to Lucid. It does not fix the problem.
I brought back xorg to Precise.
I also tried the tip of xorg fr

If you are seeking a stable version i would recommend reinstalling
12.04. We are testing the 13.04 powerpc flavors and the kernel sound and
radeon problems still exists. I can get a clean working version but
with no sound as well on the 3.7.0 kernel.

I cant submit reviews to USC for any applications. First it gave me an
"unknown error", and then it says I can't submit multiple reviews, while
in fact the first one has failed. I am logged into Software Center, and
this happened for four different apps.
