I successfully installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my Sempron 2600+ 512 RAM after
a loong installation process.
The problem came with 10.10, it freezes on "Configuring Hardware" while
generating /boot/ini
I forgot, the oldie HD had some bad sectors founded and repared by HD
Regenerator last year but even then, I successfully upgraded from Ubuntu
9.10 to 10.04.
The problem came yesterday when triyng to boot with UB 10.04 partition,
didn't boot and a busybox appeared. I passed HD Regenerator again an

I seem to have the same problem but I'm using AnyData adu-560d with
ubuntu 10.10
this is when it changed to a modem ( I believe it was the first time I
plugged it in) notice the ERROR message:

connecting Andriod phones to my laptop before. Now, it's not working at
all. I'll reboot and disconnect all USB devices except for the phone to
see if works. I've added usb_storage and usbhid to the /etc/modules

this one is not reproducable at will. Crash happened while running off the
installation media,
i.e. in the installation X session. Not sure if you can somehow use debugging
symbols in that sessin.
