I think I have a different manifestation of the same bug.
"m-a prepare" seems to create a linux-OLDVERSION link OK, eg "linux-
OLDVERSION.1268317026.1268317026" but it DOESN'T create the

included in Lucid, is not stable enough for derived applications. Since
Lucid is LTS, no single application could benefit much, from included
Libgda 4.0.4.
Libgda 4.0.8 provides many important biugfixes:

Normally I just plug the modem in and it works and i've had a few of these 3G

My bad, gnome-user-share is installed by default already. File receiving
had to be enabled in Bluetooth Preferences.
Would it be a security hazard to enable receiving from paired devices by
default?

I just bought an HP DV6 notebook and had the same problem with Ubuntu
9.10: no sound.
Fixed the problem by installing linux-backports-modules-alsa-... (kernel

Binary package hint: language-selector
If /etc/default/locale is not user _readable_, then gnome-language-
selector crashes. After a manual installation with debootstrap this
file ends up with mode 600... mode 644 allows gnome-language-selector to
work but I can't figure out
