I've tried recreated this bug report with libgstreamer-0.10-0 version
0.10.26-1 in Lucid. It took me a while to get the DVD playing since DVD
menus don't seem to work but I was able to heard sound through my
headphones for a 5.1 channel DVD. My audio output setting in Totem was

The delta between the 0.11 and 0.12 branches is vast, and bugfixes from
0.12 are going to be a hassle to backport to 0.11.
The upstream focus of development is 0.12, and certainly lucid+1 will
have 0.12 (or later), so 0.11 will, unless someone dedicates ressources
to maintaining it, be abandoned.
Is it possible, that it does not work anymore? I installed the latest
nvidia driver with the nvidia installer, not using the package and it
works flawlessly. When I run a game in wine it always says that direct
rendering is not enabled and so on, see terminal output...

wather the applet crashes some time after login. Maybe is because in my
own impresison the applictaion is not stable on no stable connections
any way. Sometimes when the ubuntu one applet is working and my
connection goes down the application go to a deadlock situation.
