iMule is a filesharing program based an aMule. It uses the Kademlia
protocol but unlike other eMule derivatives it runs on top of the
anonymous networking layer I2P. For this it can either use the official
I2P router of the I2P project or it can use
I thought it might be something segfaulting as well but have already /
and again checked the /var/log/messages and with the exception of a
couple of unrelated segfaults (nautilus, update-manager, etc) there is
nothing in the logfiles about php segfaulting.

Yes. I remember that was fixed by upstream around version 4, couldn't
remember exactly. Now, as far as we concern, 4.2.0.8 is on karmic, which
is the current upstream version, and doesn't expose that problem.

permissions (which is also causing me a number of other problems).

$ sudo chmod 1777 /dev/shm
and logging out and back in fixes the problem (until the next reboot).

1. We don't support non-official packages such as that from getdeb.
2. The SWT updates are disabled since they break sync with the archives.

I have this same issue on a dell mini 9 with its inbuilt 3G modem. Pretty much
the same error.
After updating with the latest PPA i can now connect when in a 3G area, but if
the signal is marginal or GPRS it will not connect in Koala.
I can connect with the 9.04 machine but it gives the same er
Oh and one more thing... The sound worked on the LiveCD, it's either
just after install, or perhaps just after updates after the install that
it stopped working.

actually I'm sorry, I take that back. I was trying to rm -rf over
1.3TB of data, composed of over 17,000 sub directories each a dozen or
so files located inside.
I too had complete system lock-up when I would try deleting them (moving and
copying was fine).
I tried to move the directories

different PPA from previous versions. Is there a reason these weren't

OK, the requested files are attached. I have upgraded to Karmic since
reporting the bug, and I can confirm it is still happening exactly as
described in the original Mesa bug. Things should work after switching
to a Mesa from git after 1 September.

I checked this in Karmic and it looks like hdparm -B is set twice at
boot now:
/etc/S99acpi-support runs in order:
1. /etc/acpi/power.sh -> pm-powersave -> /usr/lib/pm-utils/power.d ->
95hdparm-apm
2. /etc/acpi/start.d/90-hdparm.sh
But /etc/acpi/power.sh will not run pm-powersave if it is called
