errors, the system came back up and seem to be running normally for a

I have tested with daily-live from 20090708, and the problem is gone
(strangely enough since I have it on the installed system). I have
tested both KMS and UMS and both on the Thinkpad X61 Tablet and HP

I has been solved by me.
After checking my firewall I noticed it was complaining about a syn flood when
I was unable to connect to a website. In my setup at home this firewall is not
really needed so I turned it off. All the problems are gone since that moment.

I have now booted a few times successfully into kernel 2.6.28-13-generic

No, I don't think so - the purpose of the "minimal virtual machine"
option is to install an even more basic system, explicitly not including
the server task. As such, it makes sense for the server task to be a
visible option in that case rather than just being implicitly selected.

Just noticed in Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit that printing multiple copies of the
document triggers double sided printing ignoring single sided printing
driver setting. Just wondering if it's a CUPS bug or is it related

I also have this bug, except that my icons did not appear on restart. I
have a fresh installation of ubuntu 9.04, 64 bit version. I haven't
installed KDE, just Kile and whatever its dependencies are in Synaptic.
I tried moving the files as noted above but it didn't make any
difference.

I confirm the bug in Gwenview 2.3.0, KDE 4.2.95, installed from Kubuntu
