Thanks for the reply. I have about 97mb of pdf files but I have no way
to knowing which is encrypted. I tried a scan with --debug to see if the
last line was the error but it just crashed. A file titled 'core' is now
in the directory and it is 26mb.

I just realised from your last comment that I probably do not have any
encrypted pdf files. If they were encrypted then I would be asked for a

I have the same issue when using a brand new 8GB iPod. If I disable the
iPod plugin in Rhythmbox then the issue goes away. Plugging in the
device with this plugin enabled also crashes any open Rhythmbox windows.
If Rhythmbox and Amarok use the same plugin to talk to iPods maybe this
is the source?

In KDE 3, it doesn’t seem to matter whether I set my mouse left- or
right-handed, it’ll remain right-handed. This is on Hardy, with the 7.3
X.org. The mouse is a normal optical mouse with a tail, USB-driven. Up
until Gutsy, this worked perfectly.
