Allright, I did suspect the session thing (though I didn't find strigi in the
KDE service manager), but for some strange
reason, trackerd gets loaded on my kde sessions... could be when I launch a
gnome app as I have evolution auto
loaded, or could have been from saving a session where it was run
Gnome-control-center is just nice for newbe and a newbe don't now how
edit the menu and don't know they are a gnome-control-center... So what
don't activate it by default? The System menu is anyway a better place
that preferance for click and visual clarity.

if not tracker will not pick it up (IE it must be in your mtab/fstab
file and correctly mounted at boot)

Ah, it seems to work with the i810 driver instead, but I'm sure it
worked at first with the (auto detected) intel driver.
