Postfix versions prior to 2.3.3-2 include code in valid_hostname() which
calls gethsotbyname(). This results in deciding that perfectly valid
hostnames are invalid, because they don't have addresses in DNS. This

I would like to confirm this bug.
My normal desktop resolution is 1280x1024. When I use my TV-Out I switch
to 1024x768. Changing the resolution does not affect the order of the
items on my panels immediately. But, if I changed the resolution at
least once, then after a reboot the order of items on

Using a 32 bit system. If it works for you, it must be something I am doing

Have since confirmed this bug on another machine. Unfortunately I am
unable to remember the details and exact configuration but the installer
required manual intervention to get grub installed properly, and then
boot configuration editing to boot successfully. Windows partition
doesn't boot at all.

I have the same symptom, using the nvidia driver (version x86-100.14.09)
and feisty (7.04).
I am still able to ssh into the box, and the Xorg was just hung.
Killing it keeps me from having to hard boot the whole box, but that's
just a workaround, obviously. What other information can I provide?

New xorg.conf has HorizSync and VertRefresh entries. Hopefully this
should solve the low resolution problem. Opening and final comments were
about resolution being too low so we shall consider that to be this bug

Thank you for your bug. Cycling with tab correctly, not sure if that's a
bug since you go to this situation with shift-tab and you can switch
back with the same combinaison

Are we sure that those gutsy crashes are the same bug? They don't look
like the same crash report and neither screenshot shows the splash stuch
at "loading images" as described here or in the duplicates. Perhaps a
separate bug should be filed for this gutsy problem.

I've just resolved the problem.
First of all, you have to use the command "sudo dpkg --configure -a" on a
terminal. Using it, you will se the problem: witch package is the problem.
After that, you have to click on the Adept Manager Update Icon, witch
will be in the Taskbar, next to clock. Aft
Is this still an issue for you? We are trying to sort this issue and
would like to know if this still happens.
If it can be reproduced, please describe the steps to do it.
