Since Dapper is frozen since its release in June, this will not be
fixed for the Firefox for that version. And in Edgy, which uses Firefox

It seems to work fine now, with the latest updates! It may be linked
with the upgrade to gnome 2.16.1. Yesterday I have taken a look at
mandriva 2007 and it didn't work (they are using gnome 2.16). So, I hope
the problem will be fix on dapper, because on edgy it works like a
charm!

Confirmed here, too. The error produced both when launched from the

We get boxes not characters, in some cases. This is a Ubuntu issue not
generic
This seems to only be partly working. Perhaps the patch hasn't made it
into the edgy kernel yet. The module loads, but no dvb devices are
created in /dev.

now I feel like an idiot. a few months ago I reorganized everything in
my home directory (instead of being in /home/thomas/Photos it was moved
to /home/thomas/media/Photos) Other than moving them back to the
original location, is there a way I can keep all the tags and such
without having to reim

Opera 9.01 displays the page correctly, however it replaces the trouble
characters with generic, unstyled ones.

A6T-AP025H TurionX2 based notebook.
After choicing what to do in the installation menù, while booting it hangs at
this point:

I can say that with Gnome 2.16.1, Acroread full-screen mode now works as
well as "feh -f", another program that previously didn't. Xdvi works in
full-screen mode as well as OO Impress. I fail to find a program that
doesn't, so things seem to have improved a lot. :-)

I'm using a Sony PCG-SRX55H notebook.
I believe since the 'alternate-install CD' missed the module 'ide_cs' so
the install program failed to detect and load my CD-ROM for
installation.
I was able to install Ubuntu Dapper to this notebook only by using
'alternate-install CD'.

now with my laptop, even no programs are running, the cpu fan run once every 5s
due to the apt-index-watcher, whicht takes up above 80% cpu when it's awaken.

I don't know.. I still hope that someone has a look at this report
before Edgy is released. It seems to my as if Thunderbird always crashes
when you have an IMAP Server configured (in my case it is a SSL server)
