Public bug reported:

AMD64 version of Edgy (both livecd and alternate) does not boot on Asus
A6T-AP025H TurionX2 based notebook.
After choicing what to do in the installation menĂ¹, while booting it hangs at
this point:

...
io scheduler cfg registered (default)

I'm pretty sure that is a kernel bug, since I'm experiencing the same error
even with Gentoo 2006.1 amd64 and Mandriva 2007 amd64.
i386 version of Edgy, Gentoo and Mandriva boot fine.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
