The upstream bug description is very vague; it mentions that there were
some known bugs in 0.1 regarding NTFS, but that is about it. Note also
that I don't think gparted resizes NTFS itself, but calls out to
ntfsresize.

Yes. Looking at the edgy package, they changed all the images into jpg

I have the same problem with the Dapper Live Cd. I'm running Athlon 64
2800+ on a MSI mobo and WD 400 GB sata drive with Plextor P916A DVDR
sata drive. The bios and the drive firmware are uptodate.
It hangs for a long time on "mounting root file system", then eventually

I can't speak for anyone else, but in my case, this actually appears to be a
limitation of the kernel. I've found that it will only detect devices up to
hdh (ata4,slave), and on my board, the PATA is on ata5. The SATA hard drive is

I'm running Ubuntu Dapper and "sometimes" X just stops sending any mouse
events (or so it seems). This usually seems to be triggered by using
rdesktop. At some point, my desktop becomes unusable. I can see the
mouse pointer move, but I can't click on
Builds OK in a Edgy Pbuilder chroot. Buildlog attached.

when starting up an config tool that requires the admin password (e.g.
update manager), then the screen goes dark to prevent other windows from

I disagree. I think that if there is another update that goes into this
package for whatever reason, then this minor bug should be tacked on. It
certainly doesn't warrant action on its own, but I don't think just

When you run bastille on Dapper and answer "Yes" (default) to "Would you like
to restrict the use of cron to administrative accounts? ", Bastille creates
/etc/cron.allow file with wrong permissions - it is owned by root:root mode

An mkswap on it fixed the situation. I have no idea how this happened -
I assume the partition must have gotten corrupted somehow, so this bug

Sorry, called too early. It seems to be that hibernating corrupts the
swap partition. With a working swap, hibernation simply powers down the
computer, and after starting it again, swap is corrupt, so hibernation
