I hereby report that usplash 0.4-11 no longer hangs on boot until
Ctrl+Alt+F1 is pressed.
But the following problems remain:
- I see the last bootup messages appear before I see the login screen.
- If fsck is doing a filesystem check the splash screen disappears and only a
blinking cursor is show

xorg.conf use parse-edid result for Monitor section. And ubuntu
xorg.conf show a black screen, but i hear the login sound.

You say that patch fixes it, but that you still experience the problem
in edgy? That's strange considering that edgy and dapper both have this
patch.
Please confirm that you actually can reproduce this problem with latest
dapper and edgy kernels.

Clean install of Ubuntu dapper installed from scratch, kept up-to-date.

Well, I'm unable to connect to the site at the moment to test the patch

I talked with upstream and he said that the old packages: "xfonts-thai,
xfonts-thai-etl, xfonts-thai-manop, xfonts-thai-nectec, xfonts-thai-
poonlap, xfonts-thai-vor" are now all build from the single thaixfonts
source package (they used to be seperate source packages). Debian
