This happened again today, and it seems it's not related to apt-cache
itself (sorry). It runs slowly and consumes heaps of CPU, but so does
everything else. This time I even saw vim take over 60% cpu while
starting, as well as multiple postgres processes etc., so it seems
related to the system itse
** Description changed:
Each morning I have trouble ssh'ing into a precise instance which I have
running (on canonistack). After several minutes I am able to get to a
shell and run `top` which shows apt-get consuming the CPU (load went
over 18).
Rebooting the instance certainly helped
