Should have tried this before. Reinstalling appmenu-gtk3 appmenu-gtk and appmenu-qt solved the issue. Does that mean that it won't be possible to disable the globalmenu? Or that removing these packages is not the way to go to do so? There should be a unity setting (in ccsm at least) to allow that.

Tried to disable the secondary monitor and it doesn't work. The problem arise only when I launch an application (any).
