Wow, thanks for coming back to this.
It's been a while since I've filed this report, I must have stopped
experiencing the bug quite some time ago. I also changed to another
distribution more than a year ago (unrelated to this bug), so I really

MarcS, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If

the crash hasn't happened since. So that kernel is probably not
affected. (Though I do not have a reliable test case, as I've mentioned
before.)
I've altered the tags as requested in comment #21.

I'll try to test some of those kernels, though the crash only happens
sporadically, so it'll be difficult to tell whether a kernel actually
fixes it. Also, I'm using a PAE kernel, which doesn't seem to be
available in the archive.
On the plus side, the crash happened again when I tried to open the
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? It
will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . If possible, please test
the latest v3.2-rcN kernel (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once
you've tested
